CMS Looking for the Perfect Gift? catalogue

Thank you to the Members of CMS Australia!

This year, several gifts in CMS’s Looking for the Perfect Gift? catalogue will help fund bursaries (scholarships) around the world so local church workers can grow in their knowledge of God’s word.

The Revd Phillip Mpangala is one of five students being sponsored by CMS to go to St John’s University of Tanzania (SJUT) in Dodoma. He has been serving at St Philip’s Anglican Training Centre in Tabora, and his studies at SJUT will prepare him for a future role as principal of St Philip’s.

'I am an engineer by trade and I worked in the textile industry for 12 years. When I wanted to resign to enter the ministry they tried to talk me out of leaving by offering me more money, as they didn't want me to work for another company. My hope is to serve the Lord and to gain more knowledge of him, and also for all my children to be able to do further education. I have six children, two boys and four girls.’

The past generosity of CMS supporters is already bearing fruit.

Last year CMS sponsored Revd Marclus Njagi from Kenya as he studied at a local university.

‘Thank you to the members of CMS Australia for your financial assistance to help me complete my Bachelor of Divinity!’ he wrote when he graduated.

‘May almighty God continue to shower his eternal blessings so that CMS may continue to be a blessing to needy students.’

Please pray that many Australians will purchase a $500 gift from the Looking for the Perfect Gift? catalogue to help sponsor five students with the potential to have a great impact on God’s Church in Tanzania.
